 The larghing face series by Yue MinJun has made a storm in the art circle in USA. His painting is now auctioned for many millions of dollars.

  This type of odd faced work made famous by Zhang Xiao Gang.  NSW Art Gallery collected one of his pieces in the early years for only $90,000 can not easily be auctioned for millions while the artist himself still working as a professor in an Art College in nothern part of China.

Chen Yi Fei,  from Shanghai, made himself famous in Shanghai in the late 70s and early 80's , and then in New York. He is one of the early teachers of John Chen. He is now one of the most expensive mordern Chinese Artists in the world.  Any of his work could be auctioned for tens of millions, even a tiny drawing still worth a million. Imaging in the early 80's he was doing portrait drawings at New York for as lillte as 20 USD!
